Diagnostics · unsupported

unsupported[literal-comparison]

A name compared with a literal, such as cap == 25.

Constants are not facts: comparing one with a literal is known before any request arrives, so it decides nothing. One of the two sides must be a fact.

Example

Through compileSource
CONTRACT Claim {
  ENFORCEMENT_MODE: enforced
  CONTEXT {
    ENTITIES Request {
      count: int
      region: string
      ready: bool
      ratio: float
    }
    CONSTANTS {
      zero: int == 0 [SOURCE:POLICY]
      cap: int == 25 [SOURCE:POLICY]
    }
  }
  TRIGGER {
    grant()
  }
  GUARANTEE {
    ENSURE grant() WHEN Request.ready == true [SOURCE:must_be_ready]
  }
  PROHIBITION {
    FORBID grant WHEN cap == 25 [SOURCE:over_cap]
  }
}
