Diagnostics · unsupported

unsupported[constant-type]

A constant whose type is not primitive, found by checkConstants.

compileSource never reports this code: the subset check reports unsupported[type-unsupported] for the same constant first. It appears when checkConstants is called directly, on constants that did not go through that check.

Example

Through checkConstants
CONTRACT Claim {
  ENFORCEMENT_MODE: enforced
  CONTEXT {
    ENTITIES Request {
      count: int
      region: string
      ready: bool
      ratio: float
    }
    CONSTANTS {
      zero: int == 0 [SOURCE:POLICY]
      cap: Money == 25 [SOURCE:POLICY]
    }
  }
  TRIGGER {
    grant()
  }
  GUARANTEE {
    ENSURE grant() WHEN Request.ready == true [SOURCE:must_be_ready]
  }
  PROHIBITION {
    FORBID grant WHEN Request.count > cap [SOURCE:over_cap]
  }
}

rejected unsupported[constant-type] at 12:7 unsupported constant type

compileSource reports unsupported[type-unsupported] for this source instead, because that check comes first.

Fix

Through checkConstants
CONTRACT Claim {
  ENFORCEMENT_MODE: enforced
  CONTEXT {
    ENTITIES Request {
      count: int
      region: string
      ready: bool
      ratio: float
    }
    CONSTANTS {
      zero: int == 0 [SOURCE:POLICY]
      cap: int == 25 [SOURCE:POLICY]
    }
  }
  TRIGGER {
    grant()
  }
  GUARANTEE {
    ENSURE grant() WHEN Request.ready == true [SOURCE:must_be_ready]
  }
  PROHIBITION {
    FORBID grant WHEN Request.count > cap [SOURCE:over_cap]
  }
}
